My Despair

To be completely honest,
I don’t know how life will be without you.
I search for ways to fill the void,
to know where your soul has flown.

You were the first.
All our hope, our dreams, ran through you.
Your joys, your sorrows, your pain were ours
Now, they are through.

The depth of this loss
Is beyond comprehension.
The valleys have no bottom.
My despair has no end.

I look for the day when I can say,
“Hello, T-Bear, I’ve missed you!”
Until that day, I’ll love you so
Your smile, your hair, your life, your glow.

I must rely upon my faith
to take me to that day.
And when our spirits do entwine,
it will finally be ok.

Until that time,
When we can meet again.
We that are left
Have memories only to complete.
